The 12th Man
Every football club in the world have them. Their vivaciousness is able to lift players and give them that inner strength to go on and win from losing situations. These are your football supporters or as they popularly called nowadays as the 12th Man. They have the ability to create an influence on the player's attitude during their game. The players, coaches and the management need the supporters to stand by their team in times of triumphs and failures.
These people take time off from their busy
schedules and fill up the stadiums with their presence. They make the atmosphere in the stadium electric and the players are grateful to have them supporting them during match-day. You can see week in week out how much the players need their supporters, when their team scores a goal they rush towards the fans and celebrate their joy with them. Players may come and go but these people will stay on supporting their beloved teams.
I'm sure all players get that feeling of goosebumps when they enter the stadium and see thousands and thousands of supporters cheering on for them. It must be hard for them to contain their emotions. This is one aspect of the game which is truly made this sport beautiful. To see tens and thousands of supporters chanting their clubs and players names with passion is truly an indescribable feeling. The supporters do not shy away from expressing their opinions if they do not like what they are seeing. The feeling when you support your team when they are playing your bitter rivals is truly indescribable, then the passion expressed by both the supporters present in the stadium can truly be electrifying.
Yes they create an atmosphere where players get fueled and pumped up. But sometimes and it's unfortunate it can take a turn to the worst with racist chants and violence and vandalism. Which puts a stain on this beautiful game.
Irrespective of those negative aspects, these are those people who would give their lives for their beloved clubs. They love their clubs more than their families. For them it's God and then the club they support and then the rest.
true passion in any sport other than football. The supporters for the beautiful game are as loyal as
they come.
